This sub-category is for skilled workers who:
- Want to live and work in Saskatchewan;
- Are in the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Express Entry Pool.
International Skilled Worker – Express Entry
This category works with the express entry; hence the candidates applying for this should fulfill the basic eligibility criteria for the Express Entry pool.
There is no need for a prior job offer.
Qualifying candidates need to attain extra 600 points in the CRS.
The applications are processed on the first come, first serve criteria from the express entry pool candidates.
Candidates should get a minimum of 60 points out of 100 in the SINP assessment
The applicant's work experience should be atleast the minimum in the applied field of their study, as mentioned in the NOC 0, A, or B.
Have completed post-secondary education, apprenticeship or degree equivalent to the Canadian education system.
Have a minimum of one-year work experience in your intended occupation in the past 10 years.
Have a language test result that meets the federal Express Entry language requirements.
Saskatchewan PNP: Employment Offer
This is another sub-category to permit foreign nationals to apply for a job. Unlike the pool system, in this system, you only need to meet the eligibility conditions and exhibit your interest for the job, and if the employer finds it suitable, he can send you the invitation to apply.
Eligibility requirements and essential demonstrations
- You must qualify as a skilled worker at skill levels 0, A, B of the national occupational classification (NOC) or in a designated trade.
- The offer letter should be of permanent, full-time requirement .
- A score of 60 points should be achieved on SINP point assessment grid(out of 100).
- You must have prior experience in the intended field, of at least one year.
- A minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark- CLB 4 score in either French or English.
- If you have a job offer in a regulated profession, you need to submit the proof of your eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure.
International Skilled Worker – Occupations In-Demand
The applications for the base subcategory are attained on the FCFS basis. The processing is independent of Express Entry.
Job Offer is not needed.
Candidates should get a minimum of 60 points in the SINP assessment
The applicants must have an experience of atleast one year in the skilled Occupation as mentioned in the NOC 0, A, or B list.
Occupation in-demand jobs are the excluded jobs which are not eligible for SINP. However, these jobs may qualify through the International Skilled Worker Employment Offer and Saskatchewan Work Experience. The employer must be registered with the Government of Saskatchewan and receive approval for the job offer.
Some of the jobs do not need a professional license while some occupations may need the applicants to first acquire a professional license from associated organizations as authorized by the government of Saskatchewan. The license procedures can be undertaken outside the country before arriving.
